Driven by our own experiences and by the stories we've heard from friends and former Camp Deborah attendees, the Bathsheba Redeemed Retreat is our response to God's call to help heal the brokenness of this world.
Bathsheba Redeemed is designed to be a safe space for young women to explore and discuss the most taboo of topics in the church.
We will explore the beauty of God's design for sexuality,
celebrate and relate to our own bodies in healthy ways,
and process through sexual trauma*.
We will also talk about what to do when you hear or see something that feels wrong, and how to spot signs of abuse.
*Sexual trauma both within the church and without. We will have alternative sessions available during any sessions that might be more intense. See note about resources and professional qualifications below.
Calaveras Big Trees*
*If we have over 6 participants, we will be near Lake Tahoe instead.
July 18-20
Women currently or formerly in the christian church, ages 15*-35
*15-17 with signed guardian permission

We know not everyone can afford a weekend retreat, and we want to keep this event accessible! As a result, we are charging less than what will cover our overhead costs. Sponsorship will help cover both those remaining overhead costs and the registration fee for anyone who can't afford to come.

Note about Resources & Professional Qualifications:
We are not professionally qualified in dealing with sexual trauma. We will be bringing resources from professionals, developing our studies alongside those professionals, and will have a therapist on call during our retreat. We will also provide resources for participants to take home after the retreat.
We have a beautiful cabin retreat booked! There will be beds and potentially cots. If you come with a friend and are comfortable sharing a bed, we may ask for volunteers.
We will also have a full kitchen and will be cooking meals for/with retreat participants.
Yes to wifi!
We are checking with the Airbnb host about cell service.
While there is wifi, we hope you will join us in taking this opportunity to disconnect and be fully present with this group of women.
